Due to a slight construction delay, Studio Movie Grill (SMG), a movie theater and restaurant opening in Wheaton, will open June 8, according to SMG spokesman Lynne McQuaker.
Originally set for a late May opening, the nine-screen, 120-seat movie theater and restaurant will open at 301 Rice Lake Square in the 40,000-square-foot, former Linens 'N Things building.
Studio Movie Grill operates eight other locations in Texas, Georgia and Arizona, according to a Wheaton city staff memo. The Wheaton location will also include a lounge to accommodate about 36 people.
Studio Movie Grill is offering free movie passes for its opening week. For information regarding free movie passes, visit the Studio Movie Grill Facebook page.
