Naperville Stationery Store to Move to Downtown Glen Ellyn

Papier Girl, owned by a Glen Ellyn resident, will open its doors sometime between June and July.

A fine stationery store is moving to downtown Glen Ellyn.

Since 2005, Papier Girl has been located at 124 S. Webster St. in Naperville and will now move to downtown Glen Ellyn after renovating the storefront at 413 N. Main St.

"I live in Glen Ellyn and this is a family decision to be closer to home, so I can manage both my business and family better," said owner, Lesley Vesevick.

Papier Girl specializes in custom wedding invitations and is the store's major source of revenue. Customers seek out Papier Girl for other big life events, too, including graduations, birthdays, baptisms and communions.

"I love working here because a majority of people that walk through that door are celebrating a happy event," said Vesevick.

Vesevick, a Glen Ellyn resident, has owned the store since 2009 and believes that her boutique stationery store's following will bring foot traffic to the other stores in Glen Ellyn.

Vesevick signed the lease last week and plans to open the store sometime between June and July of 2012.

Last week, another stationery store released a statement that it was planning a move to Glen Ellyn, as well. It's unclear if that store is still planning to move into town.
