Glen Ellyn Non Profit Picks Up Staples Grant
Local Staples employees selected Chicago Family Directions for donation.
Employees at local Staples stores selected Glen Ellyn's Chicago Family Directions to receive a $5,000 grant, the company announced.
According to its website, Chicago Family Directions aims to provide consistent, long-term literacy tutoring to Chicago Public School students in temporary living situations, as well as students whose families live near the poverty line.
The group's goal is to prepare the students for college, careers and an adult life without homelessness. We partner with schools, government, communities and businesses by appealing to their social responsibility initiatives to support our mission through volunteerism and financial support.
