Glen Ellyn Business Hands Out Roses for Valentine's Day

Fast on Site spread a little love in downtown Glen Ellyn as Metra commuters came home.

As Glen Ellyn commuters departed from Metra trains Tuesday afternoon, they were greeted with free long-stem roses and rose petals lining the sidewalks.

, a computer repair shop in downtown Glen Ellyn, sponsored the event to attract more customers to its store at 503 Duane St. 

Armed with 500 roses, the group brought smiles to commuters on the chilly Valentine's Day.

"We wanted to get some exposure in a non-traditional way," said Fast on Site owner, Amit Mehta. "This was something different." 

In addition to repairing computers, Mehta sells new and refurbished computers. After working in California's Silicon Valley, Mehta returned to the western suburbs of Chicago and opened the downtown Glen Ellyn store in 2009. Later, he expanded his operation, adding another location in Elmhurst.
