Chicago’s First Lemonade Day Campaign Registration Events

Free Program Teaches Chicagoland Kids How to Become Young Entrepreneurs

Lemonade Day is the brainchild of American entrepreneur and Prepared 4 Life founder, Michael Holthouse, and is a free, fun, learning program that teaches kids how to start, own and operate their own business using a lemonade stand as well as fundamental lessons about life, success and themselves.

The Lemonade Day Chicago campaign officially kicks off on April 10, 2012 and will culminate on May 6th, 2012 with children throughout Chicagoland coming together to set up their lemonade stands in their communities.  Participants are encouraged to use the funds earned from their lemonade stand to save a little, spend a little and give a little back to the community.

Spark Energy, an alternative energy provider in Chicago is proud to sponsor Chicago’s First Lemonade Day to continue to empower what matters and give back to the community.  The company is hosting unique Lemonade Day registration events in the following Chicago suburbs:

  • April 10, 2012 – Plainfield Public Library – 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • First 100 kids to register will receive a free Flirty Cupcakes lemon cupcake
  • April 14, 2012 – Orland Square Mall – 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • April 15, 2012 – Lincolnwood Town Center Mall – 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • April 24, 2012 – Glen Ellyn Public Library – 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Kids who register will receive Lemonade Day instructions and an official backpack filled with educational materials
