Downtown Glen Ellyn to Unveil New Signage, Logo

The Downtown Alliance announces new marketing campaign.

"Glen Ellyn a downtown to treasure" is the village's new catch phrase that will be rolled out on some of the new 300 banners, set to be on display in the next few months, according to Carol White, executive director of the Downtown Alliance

The new marketing campaign is designed to give downtown Glen Ellyn a "refreshed" look. White said, the signage is geared toward marketing the downtown as destination for dining and shopping. An anonymous financial donation made the new banners possible and the contribution provides enough for the replacement and repair of the signs.

"We tried to be to the point, we tried to be historically accurate and pleasantly current," said White.

In addition to the standard signs, there will be seasonal holiday banners. The refreshed look will extend to the downtown alliance's website, business cards, and pamphlets for visitors.
