District 89 School Board President Has a New Job With The Federal Savings Bank

The Federal Savings Bank announced Glen Ellyn resident Frank Zak will lead the Schaumburg branch's loan production office. The branch opened in 2013.

Zak is president of the Glen Ellyn Elementary District 89 School Board.
As regional senior vice president at The Federal Savings Bank, Zak was hired to aggressively recruit talented, highly qualified loan officers who will serve customers’ home financing needs. He also will grow the bank’s national and regional platform, particularly the customer base in the northwest suburbs.

“We’re thrilled to have Zak join The Federal Savings Bank,” said Steve Calk, bank chairman and CEO. “He has solid experience in the mortgage industry, along with technical expertise and a keen understanding of what it takes to be a strong loan officer and best serve the needs of customers.”

Zak has more than 25 years of experience at all levels of the mortgage banking industry, including state and national. He was first vice president of the Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals in 2004 and has overseen the production of more than $10 billion in residential mortgage loans.

Zak, who has served on the School Board for nine years, earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Marquette University and a master’s in education from Western Illinois University. He is married with two college-aged daughters.
