LEGOs on Display at Library's 'Oktobrickfest'

A certified professional LEGO builder and designer will be on hand Saturday during the two-day event.

Children and families alike who enjoy clicking LEGO bricks together will not want to miss a special event being held this weekend at the Glen Ellyn Public Library.

The library is hosting its Oktobrickfest LEGO Exhibit on Saturday and Sunday. During the event, the Chicago Area LEGO Users Group, known at ChiLUG, will design, build and display a number of unique LEGO creations and the exhibit will feature more than 60 designs.

Adam Reed Tucker, a member of the Chicago-based LEGO group is an International LEGO Certified Professional and will be making an appearance on Saturday, according to a news release from the Glen Ellyn Public Library.

Tucker is the main designer for the LEGO “Architecture Series,” which was designed to help educate people about the world of architecture, engineering and construction. He will be autographing kits from his line on Saturday during the event.

The Oktobrickfest LEGO Exhibit will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. in Meeting Rooms A & B at the Glen Ellyn Public Library. For more information visit the library’s website.
