U2 Eucharist – Hunger Relief Concert

All are welcome to join us at First United Methodist Church of
Glen Ellyn for a community-wide worship Sunday, September 23 @ 9AM.  We will be worshipping God using the music
and messages of U2. U2 is an Irish rock band that has been recording music for
over 25 years. The group’s music appeals to several generations of
listeners.

The U2 Eucharist is a service incorporating U2’s best-selling
songs as hymns. Some
of the songs to be sung will be: “Beautiful Day,” “Where the Streets Have No
Name,” “With or Without You,” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”

In
addition to the strong spiritual imagery of U2's recorded music, live musicians
will lead us in worship. The Word will be proclaimed, and we will share
communion together at Christ's open table.

The service is designed to raise awareness, as well as empower
people gathered there to do their part to make hunger history.  100% the money given to the offering will be
donated to help alleviate hunger globally and locally. Donations will be made
to the World Food Program and Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.

Come one, come all, Come ready to Rock!
