The Kiwanis Clubs of Central DuPage and Glen Ellyn will host a "Baby Shower" fundraiser on October 6, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm at the Glen Oak Restaurant, 479 Pennsylvania Ave, Glen Ellyn. Donate baby supplies such as wipes, diapers, shampoo, lotion and baby food in jars. These are items that Teen Parent Connection needs in their "baby closet" for their support of teen parents. They earn points toward these baby supplies by completing parenting classes, nutrition classes and other educational programs geared toward helping them raise healthy children. Purchase a meal and Glen Oak Restaurant will donate a portion of the profits to this worthy cause. There will also be raffles from local businesses and door prizes.
