Downtown Glen Ellyn announces the 2nd Annual Sounds on the Street-

Celebrate the end of summer with a FREE live concert on Main

Street, Friday, August 31, 2012 from 7-10:30pm.

Glen Ellyn, Illinois, August 13th, 2012 — Last year over 1000+ folks joined us for what simply was a perfect end to summer.

Celebrating the end of the summer in Downtown Glen Ellyn will never be better! Come on out on Friday, August 31st to a free LIVE concert on Main Street (between Hillside and Duane) and enjoy bringing your local fare and libations out from our restaurants into the street to celebrate summer’s finest in Downtown Glen Ellyn.

We will feature the music of IPOP, a fan favorite at McGee's and Navy Pier in Downtown Chicago. You asked for them and they are here to play your favorites. The night begins at 7pm. No doubt it will be great.

Timeline? Main Street closes between Hillside and Duane at 5pm. The band shell goes up and tables and chairs beginning filling the street. Restaurants open at 7pm for drink and food to come outside and IPOP begins at 8pm. The fun goes on until 10:30pm.

Book the sitter. Bring your friends. Make your plan to drop in a new restaurant or old favorite, you have five to choose from including Tap House Grill, Santa Fe, flour + wine, Shannon’s, and Cab’s Wine Bar Bistro. Mix it up and try a few. Find it all in Downtown Glen Ellyn, a downtown to treasure.

Please make sure you get a wristband as you enter the event, and outside alcohol is prohibited.  We also ask that only plastic or paper goes from inside the restaurants to the street.  Thanks for your help!
