The School District 89 Spring Band Concert includes musicians from the 5th grade Beginning Band, 6th Grade Concert Band, 7th/8th Grade Symphonic Band, and the Glen Crest Jazz Band. Th date is Monday, May 16. They will fill the Glenbard South High School auditorium with stirring marches, foreign melodies, and light opera selections. The concert begins at 7:00 P.M. Director of the Beginning Band and Concert Band is Lev Garber, and Katrina Berry directs the Symphonic Band and Jazz Band. Some of the musical selections on the program are “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Attack of the Garden Gnomes,” “River’s Bend March,” and “Espana Cani.” For information about the concert call 60-469-5220.
