Pumpkin Patch

Glen Ellyn: The St. Mark's Episcopal Church annual pumpkin sale will be held from Oct. 10 to Oct. 31 outside of the church at 393 N. Main St. in Glen Ellyn. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Customers can pay inside the church until 5 p.m. on week days. In the evening and on weekends, volunteers will staff the pumpkin patch stand and payment can be made there.

This is the fourth annual St. Mark's pumpkin patch. The pumpkins are from an organization called Pumpkin Patch Fundraisers, which contracts with Native American farmers in New Mexico to sell the pumpkins through churches. More information is at www.pumpkinsusa.com.  About 65% of the proceeds go back to the organization to benefit the farmers. St. Mark's donates the other 35% to DuPage PADS. Last year, St. Mark's was able to donate $5,000 to PADS through the pumpkin sales.

For details, call the church at (630) 858-1020.
