Naperville Jazz Festival

The  2011 Naperville Jazz Festival, sponsored by Calamos Investments will take place at the Naperville Community Concert Center located in Central Park in downtown Naperville, June 18, 2011.

Spyro Gyra, a popular jazz fusion band is the event headliner. They have been entertaining audiences with their fusion style of jazz for over 30 years. Other featured artists include Reginald T. McCants, Agnieszka Iwanska and  Shawn Maxwell Quartet.  The event is kicked off with the talents of  Lisle Sr. High School Jazz Combo, led by Scott Gumina. In the food and beverage court, a jazz combo featuring Naperville North students will perform between main stage performances.

Rick O’Dell, Program Director and Midday Personality at WLFM 87.7FM, Chicago’s exclusive Smooth Jazz station, will emcee the event.

The night of the festival, a guitar will be raffled off that includes signatures of the Spyro Gyra band members.  Also, available for raffle win is a gift card tree that features gift cards for area stores and restaurants.

Food may be brought in or  is available for purchase. Food menu is available on the website. Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the site. Beer and wine are available for purchase with valid ID.

Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. and the evening’s performances will begin immediately.  Presale tickets are priced at $25. At the day of the event, ticket prices are $30. Children under 12 are free.
