Minister of Music Jean Spyksma Presents Organ Recital at Grace Lutheran Church

     Sunday, January 22, at 2:00 P.M., Minister of Music for Grace Lutheran Church, Jean Spyksma, will present an organ recital.  The church is located at 493 Forest Ave. in downtown Glen Ellyn.  Spyksma did her organ study at the American Conservatory of Music and Northwestern University, as well as studying improvisation with the late Dr. Paul Manz.  She will be playing works by Mendelssohn, Alfred Hollins, John Weaver, J.S. Bach, and others.
    The concert  will be performed on the church's 36-rank Schlicker organ. This famous organ has been the centerpiece of Grace’s music for many years.  The recital is free and open to the public; donations to a free will offering basket will benefit the Grace Lutheran Church music program.
