Holiday Festival Fund Raiser for Glen Ellyn Woman's Club

Program Chairman for the Glen Ellyn Woman’s Club, Wilma Wark, has booked a unique holiday program for the Glen Ellyn Woman’s Club Holiday Festival on Tuesday, December 6.  Roland Wiebking and Barber Shop Quartet Harmony are the entertainers lined up to welcome the Christmas Season.   The location of this major fund raiser  is  the Glen Oak Country Club,  21W451 Hill Avenue in Glen Ellyn.  The Social Hour begins at 11:30 A.M. and the Luncheon/Program 12:00 P.M. and 2:30 P.M.
Roland Wiebking and Barber Shop Quartet Harmony was organized in 1999 when the men became acquainted as members of the West Town Barber Shop Society.  Their first gig was volunteering to ring bells and sing for the Salvation Army Kettle Drive.   The quartet knows a vast number of well known Christmas music and some golden oldies.  Requests for particular songs will be encouraged.
Along with the entertainment, luncheon and Christmas atmosphere is a Silent Auction  consisting of  items that have been collected from the membership, merchants in Glen Ellyn and local restaurants.  Funds raised from this event will be added to the other money the club has earned and the entire sum is donated to social service agencies in Glen Ellyn and DuPage County.  Two scholarships are given to Glenbard West and South High Schools.  Tickets are priced at $40 per person. Contact Woman’s Club member Carol Miller, at 630-469-7046 to purchase them.
