Holiday Concert "Out of Darkness: Love & Light"

HOLIDAY CONCERT “Out of Darkness: Love & Light”

Anima-Young Singers of Greater Chicago (formerly the Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus) will present a holiday concert, Out of Darkness: Love & Light on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. and again at 7:00 p.m. at Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave, Naperville, IL.

From darkness to radiance, Anima presents a musical journey of reflection and inspiration.  At 4 pm, we spotlight our younger ensembles and outreach choirs singing a fine array of whimsical, global, and holiday music at a family friendly price!  From classics (Bach, Schubert) to living composers from Chicago to Canada, there will be plenty of variety for all ages including a carol sing at both concerts.  At 7 pm, we welcome very special guest artist eighth blackbird, the Grammy award winning sextet, as our advanced ensemble presents Nico Muhly’s How Soon?. Eric Whitacre’s 5 Hebrew Love Songs will be a gorgeous centerpiece at both concerts.  Let the radiance of young voices bring a glow to your heart in the warm, intimate acoustics of Wentz Hall.
