Glen Crest Jazz Band Performs at Jazz Jamboree




    Saturday, January 28, the fifteenth annual Jazz Jamboree takes place at Thomas Middle School in Arlington Heights.  Lev Garbar, Glen Crest Middle School director of the middle school Jazz Band announced that his group of musicians will perform on stage at 2:30 P.M. at the Jamboree and their appearance will be followed by an instructional clinic for the band members.  The administrator of the clinic is a well-known jazz educator from the Chicagoland area and his/her name will be announced at a later date.  Musical selections to be played by the Glen Crest Jazz Band are “Mister Cool,” by Mike Steinel, “Satin Doll,” by Duke Ellington and “Buffalo Head,” by Dean Sorenson.
