District 89 Chorus Festival Features Choirs from Glenbard South and District 89 Singing Together

 

Saturday, March 12, the annual District 89 Chorus Festival will be held at Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn.  The 5th grade choral students from the four elementary schools: Arbor View, Briar Glenn, Park View and Westfield, 6th, 7th and 8th grade choral students from Glen Crest Middle School and all the choirs at Glenbard South will participate in this afternoon of memorable music.  

The students will rehearse from 1:00 to 2:40 P.M. and the performance will begin at 3:00 P.M.  There is no admission fee for this concert and the public is invited to attend.

Paul Ropp is the choral director  at Glen Crest Middle School and he promises a program that includes music that is challenging for the young musicians and familiar tunes everyone remembers.  Stephanie Skizas, the choral director at Glenbard South will lead the combined choirs and Debbie Hatmaker will be the accompanist.  For information call the Glen Crest office at 630-469-5220.
