Boxcar Comedy Presents: Comedy of Vagabond's

Boxcar Comedy Presents:  Comedy of Vagabond’sThe Next Installment of Laughs Approaches in Glen Ellyn
Sometimes all you need is a good laugh, especially at the end of a long work week. If you missed the last show, you don’t want to miss this absurdly funny lineup handpicked by Boxcar Comedy Productions on Thursday, August 4th at Ellyn’s Tap & Grill in Glen Ellyn.
Local Chicagoan, Ryan Budds, will headline the evening whose wit, energy, and spontaneity is crafted into jokes that stem from life in his 20s. Ryan Budds performs quite frequently at the World Famous Improv in Chicago, has toured the club and college scenes across the country, was featured in Time Out Chicago’s Joke of the Week and has worked with many notable comedians such as Zach Galifianakis, Christopher Titus, Greg Behrendt and Bobcat Goldthwait.
The rest of the night’s festivities will showcase comedians: Jay Washington (Riddles), Ali Clayton (TBS Just for laughs), and James Bailey (The Muppet Man, Hot Cup of Comedy).
Boxcar Comedy Presents:  Comedy of Vagabond’s is a free show for ages 21 and over from 9:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Ellyn’s Tap & Grill is located at 940 Roosevelt Rd. Space is limited and fills up fast so get there early. Please contact me if you would like more information about the show.

About Boxcar Comedy ProductionsThe concept of Boxcar Comedy Productions was an ill conceived idea of Kristen Toomey, a local comedian and Lombard native. The idea? To bring free shows showcasing some of the best comedic talent to unconventional venues in the western suburbs, designed to remind everyone that the best things in life really are free. And Kristen Toomey, a five foot nothing of Irish fury, has been cracking people up with her edgy, ‘Johnny on the Spot,’ sometimes pessimistic and often deadpan humor since she turned the tables on a police officer at the age of two. A life-long fan of comedy, the married mother of two is an alum of The Second City where she studied improv and performed in the 2007 production of Greg Wendling and Brian Crowley’s “Denise’s Friday Night Book Club,” for which she received good reviews.
