A No-Fail Formula for Finding the Good in Everything: Life Lessons from the Invincible Kelly Standing

She has been hit by a car, struck by lightning, and hanged from a tree. In an unrelated incident, at age 29, she went “into the Bright Light” —and lived to tell … still STANDING, still smiling.

In her memoir, I'M STILL STANDING: How One Woman's Brushes with Death Taught Her How To Live, author and speaker Kelly Standing shows and tells how her brushes with death have given her an uncommonly positive, even fearless approach to life, an approach she says anyone can learn and apply. On Thursday, April 5th, the West Suburban Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) Community Group will host an evening with Kelly Standing as part of her Midwest book signing tour.If you’re having a great life, Kelly’s story helps you consider what’s left on your Bucket List and the legacy you hope to leave. If, on the other hand, you face dire or difficult circumstances – from catastrophic illness to violence to bullies -- or just everyday human hiccups – from tight finances to workplace woes to parenting puzzles or idle gossip – Kelly’s story says she can relate. She’ll share her no-fail formula for finding the good in everything. Join us on April 5th, when Kelly will offer fun, practical, even life-altering lessons in resilience, adapting to change, and self-mastery. To read more about Kelly and her book, I’M STILL STANDING, please visit her web site at www.StandingMedia.com.

AboutT he Institute of Noetic Sciences: (IONS) was cofounded in 1973 by astronaut Edgar Mitchell, of the Apollo 14 mission. Mitchell experienced an epiphany during Apollo 14, as he looked down upon the earth. “The presence of divinity became almost palpable, and I knew that life in the universe was not just an accident based on random processes,” said Mitchell. Following his spaceflight, he and others founded the IONS Institute. Their aim was to explore knowledge beyond our “normal” senses and power of reason. Visit www.noetic.org to learn more.
