A Look at Zook's Unique Architecture

Glen Ellyn Historical Society presents architect R. Harold Zook expert, Betty Green, in an afternoon of education, information and examples of the "Green Initiate" demonstrated in Zook's  use of stone and paneling as far back as 1932.  Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 P.M., listen as  Green's enthusiasm spreads throughout her audience.  The site for the program is the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street, Glen Ellyn.  Tickets are $8.00 for GEHS members, Students: $5.00, and non-members, $10.  They are available at Stacy's Corners Store, by phone or mail.  Call 630-469-1867 or check e-mail at info@gehs.org.  Green tells us Zook's work has been recognized as historically significant with many of his structures built in nearby Hinsdale and three homes on property just a quarter of a mile from the GEHS History Center on the border of Glen Ellyn and Lombard.
