Local thespians ready to take to the stage, here is your chance to prepare for auditions being held in late March.
The Village Theatre Guild is holding open auditions on March 24 and 25 for Next Fall by Geoffrey Nauffts. The play will run from May 24 through June 15 at the Village Theatre Guild in Glen Ellyn.
The theater is casting for six parts. The parts are as follows: Adam (early to mid 40s), Luke (mid to late 20s), Holly (mid 30s), Brandon (early to mid 30s), Arlene (early 50s) and Butch (mid 50s).
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and will be held at 7 p.m. March 24 and 25, according to the theater. Prepared monologues will be heard, but are not required.
The play is described as: “A witty and provocative look at faith, commitment, and unconditional love. The story revolves around the 5-year relationship between Adam and Luke. When a tragic accident occurs, the characters must examine their morals, their values, what it means to "believe," and what it might cost them not to.”
Copies of the script are available by contacting director Jim Liesz at 630-534-4828.
