Weekend Events in Glen Ellyn

Make it a busy weekend.

We’ve got the best bets for when the work week is over and you're ready to get out. Check our picks for the activities to hit.

1. INCORRUPTIBLE
Where/When: 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Wheaton Drama - Playhouse 111, 111 N. Hale St.
Why Go: This hilarious  is set in 1250 A.D. France. Things are indeed dark in the Dark Ages! The river has flooded again, the chandler’s shop has gone up in smoke, and Sainte Foy, the monastery’s patron saint, has not worked a miracle in 13 years.
Pricing: $13-$16.

2. PSS WE LOVE YOU 5K RUN/WALK
Where/When: 8 a.m. Saturday at Montclair train parking lot, N. Montclair Ave. and Spalding St., Glen Ellyn.
Why Go: It is a USATF-certified through Glen Ellyn. All proceeds will go to CHASA to support Pediatric Stroke Survivors.
Pricing: $25.

3. AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS THEATRE-HIKE
Where/When: 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at , 4100 Lincoln Ave., Lisle.
Why Go: "" is performed while hiking through the Arboretum grounds. Each theatre-hike presents a different scene at a different location on the Arboretum grounds. Audience members walk to each location to enjoy the unfolding story. Regular hikes, which can cover up to two miles with multiple stops along the way, are on Saturdays, and low-impact hikes (suitable for strollers, walkers and wheelchairs) are on Sundays.
Pricing: $13-$19.

4. NAMI DUPAGE 5K
Where/When: 9 a.m. Saturday at Danada Forest Preserve, 3s580 Naperville Rd., Wheaton.
Why Go: Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. for the CARA-certified benefitting the National Alliance on Mental Illness of DuPage.
Pricing: $30 at race, $25 at Wheaton Town Square Starbucks from 4-7 p.m. Friday.

5. PUBLIC LANDS DAY CELEBRATION
Where/When: 9 a.m. Saturday at , 271 St. Charles Road, Glen Ellyn.
Why Go: will include planting a tree for each School District 41 school and St. Petronille School, harvesting seeds and trail work.  Light refreshments will be served.
Pricing: Free.
