Thunderstorms Headed Our Way, Chance of Flooding
Heavy rains and severe thunderstorms are expected starting tonight and continuing throughout the weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook warning for DuPage County, beginning this evening and continuing through the early morning hours on Saturday.
Thunderstorms producing cloud to ground lightning are expected along with moderate to heavy rainfall. Precipitation along the frontal boundary of the low pressure storm system is of particular concern, due to it possibly leading to "prolonged periods" of rain in excess of an inch.
Due to possible high rainfall and recent snow melt, flooding is also a concern.
