Think About Spring And Learn About Hummingbirds Thursday in Glen Ellyn

Come and explore the wonder of hummingbirds in this free presentation.

DuPage Birding Club will host a presentation by hummingbird expert Nancy Carroll at 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 9, at Faith Lutheran Church, 41 N. Park Blvd., in Glen Ellyn.

Carroll, a master gardener and a member of The Hummingbird Society and the DuPage Birding Club, enjoys sharing information about our smallest local bird species. She’s had great success in attracting hummingbirds to her Naperville garden, and birding trips throughout the United States and to Peru, Costa Rica and the Amazon have enriched her knowledge of these fascinating birds.

Carroll will provide helpful information about hummingbird identification, the best plantings to attract them and what you should know about hummingbird feeders.  She’ll even have some “approved” hummingbird feeders available for purchase.
