Swinging Thru the Stacks: Mini Golf is Coming to Glen Ellyn Public Library

Start putting your team together now. Glen Ellyn Public Library will close between 3 and 4 p.m. Jan. 24 to set up the course.

Glen Ellyn Public Library will host Swinging Thru the Stacks, an 18 hole miniature golf challenge stationed throughout the library, from 4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 24. The library will be closed from 3 to 4 p.m. for staff to set up the course.

Library cardholders, community members, families, neighbors and friends of the Glen Ellyn community are encouraged to assemble teams of four and test their golfing skills on the course, which will have holes themed after The Hunger Games, The Hobbit, Winter Olympics and more.

All participants will be eligible to compete for one of two awards: the adult (ages 13 and up) who achieves the best score will be awarded the Glen Ellyn Cup, a custom-made award measuring more than 14-inches high and constructed out of solid metal. The child (ages 3-12) who achieves the best score will be awarded the Glen Ellyn Youth Cup (which looks just like the Glen Ellyn Cup).
