Renovations Underway at Willowbrook Wildlife Center

A $3.6 million renovation to Glen Ellyn's Willowbrook Wildlife Center will get underway this week, according to the Daily Herald.

Nearly 100,000 visit the DuPage County Forest Preserve District site, at 525 S. Park Boulevard, annually and the renovations will provide a larger parking lot and a updated service building, according to the article.

The goal of the Willowbrook Wildlife Center is to provide rehabilitation to native and passing migrant wildlife of DuPage county and education on the biological and ecosystems current and native to this area, according to the Willowbrook Wildlife Center's website.

With construction underway on the parking lot, parking is limited and the wildlife center is trying to leave spaces open for animal rescuers, according to Willowbrook's Facebook page.

Alternate parking is available across Park Boulevard at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, according to the Facebook page.
