Pets of the Week: Butter, Phoebe, Colton and Joey

Every week we share information about adoptable pets waiting for homes at area shelters or with local rescue groups.

Every week we bring you pets looking for homes at area rescue groups. This week the pets are from Animal Rescue Foundation – IL (ARF) and the DuPage County Animal Care and Control

DuPage County Animal Care and Control

Butter

My name is Butter, and I am a nice, nice boy.  I may have a tough look to me, but I’m a sweetheart!  I am well behaved, have nice manners, walk nice on a leash, enjoy belly rubs and am a really good dog.  I am ready to go, I am about 3 years old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. I am looking for an adult household with no other animals.  I’ll be your best friend, just give me a chance! Just like Paula Dean said “Everything is better with BUTTER!”

Phoebe

Phoebe came to the shelter because her owner’s daughter became allergic to her. She is 7 to 8 years old, spayed, declawed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is all set to find herself a new home. Her previous owners and our staff state that she is calm and very affectionate. She has a great personality and very friendly with everyone she meets. Phoebe is a black colored cat, which is the hardest to find homes for. She wants to remind everyone that black is a great color. It’s very slimming, so she would look great sitting on anyone’s lap. She also never looks dirty. So is black is your color come on in a meet Phoebe!

Colton

Colton is a handsome 13-week-old German shepard/Lab mix. His journey to ARF was a rough one, but after overcoming a bout of illness, he is all cleaned up, warm and happy, and has a fantastic and energetic puppy personality! We are so happy to have him!

Colton weighs around 22 pounds and loves to follow his foster mom around the house and lay on her lap or by her feet. He is learning to go potty outside and is doing very well. Colton has the cutest puppy face and best personality. He gets along with his foster siblings very well, and would be a great addition to any home!

Joey

Joey is 10+ years old and is a very loving cat. She would be very content just sitting in someone’s lap all day. She likes to play with toy mice, but overall is very chill and really just enjoys being pet and paid attention to. She is very much a lap cat and constant companion. She is somewhat afraid of loud noises and small children. She tends to hide if small children are around.

Her adoption fee is $60, but if she is adopted with her housemate Rouhgneck the fee for both is $90!

Fees for adoption are: dogs: $200; puppies: $225; cats: $110; kittens: $125, front paw declawed adults cats $125 unless otherwise noted.
