Lots of Live Music This Weekend

We’ve got the best bets for when the work week is over and you're ready to get out. Check our picks for the activities to hit.

1. VINTAGE RIDES CAR SHOW
Where/When: 7-9 p.m. Friday at W. Front St. & N. Hale St., Wheaton.
Why Go: Check out vintage cars in the streets of downtown Wheaton during the Downtown Wheaton Association's 14th  annual Vintage Rides season all summer.
Pricing: Free.

2. MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERT
Where/When: 8 p.m. Saturday at , 501 College Ave.
Why Go: John Philip Sousa IV, the great grandson of the “March King,” joins the for a season finale concert. The concert features special guest Peter Wilson, violinist with the United States Marine Band.
Pricing: Free.

3. WIZARD OF OZ THEATRE-HIKE
Where/When: 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at , 4100 Lincoln Ave., Lisle.
Why Go: "The Wizard of Oz" is performed while through the Arboretum grounds. Each theatre-hike presents a different scene at a different location on the Arboretum grounds. Audience members walk to each location to enjoy the unfolding story. Regular hikes, which can cover up to two miles with multiple stops along the way, are on Saturdays, and low-impact hikes (suitable for strollers, walkers and wheelchairs) are on Sundays.
Pricing: $13-$19.

4. WEST SUBURBAN SYMPHONY

Where/When: 8 p.m. Saturday at Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville.
Why Go: The West Suburban Symphony of Hinsdale will feature a "" concert with Maestro Peter Lipari leading an inspirational musical tribute with NBC Chicago newsman Dick Johnson as narrator for Aaron Copland's "Lincoln Portrait."
Pricing: $20-$25.

5. CHICAGO BRASS BAND
Where/When: 3 p.m. Sunday at , 1s151 Winfield Rd., Wheaton.
Why Go: The swing band plays the weekly outdoor concert.
Pricing: Free.
