Library Hosting Super Tuesday Events Feb. 12

A number of programs will be offered for patrons of all ages and interests at the Glen Ellyn Public Library.

If you have the winter blahs, and who doesn’t about this time of year, the Glen Ellyn Public Library is ready to give you a break with one day packed with fun activities.

The library is hosting a Super Tuesday event, which will feature six programs for library goers of all ages.

Events begin in the morning and continue into the evening.

Programs offered on Super Tuesday include:

Free One-on-One Career Counseling for Adults (9:30am—noon) Register for a free 30-minute session with a JVS career counselor who will review your resume and discuss the current job market.

Drop-in Storytimes for Kids (1—1:30 p.m. and 7—7:30 p.m.) Children of all ages are welcome to drop in for these special storytime sessions.

President’s Day Book Party for Kids of All Ages (5—6 p.m.) All 4th and 5th graders are invited to a book party fit for a president! Enjoy fun crafts and learn exciting new facts about your favorite founding fathers.

The Right Bite for Teens (5—6:30pm) Lean how to make three delicious dishes during this cooking and tasting session.

Facebook and QR Codes for Business (7—8:30 p.m.) Learn how QR codes and Facebook can be useful and profitable tools for both you and your business. Brought to you by Weiskopf Consulting.

Getting Your Plate into Shape for those in the 20s, 30s (7—9 p.m.) Learn how to make healthy meals quickly and without wiping out your entire budget, including: The Naked Lunch Burrito, Chicken and Cashew Asian Lettuce Cups with Edamame, Brown Rice, and Carrot Salad.

Glen Crest Fine Arts Night (5—9 p.m.) Join the Glen Ellyn Public Library for a night of fine art form the young artists at Glen Crest Middle School.
