Resident to perform in Shakespearean play, park district to hold a special meeting tonight and bulletin board discusses whether Glen Ellyn has unfriendly pedestrians.
The Aurora-Beacon News reports that Glen Ellyn resident Mark Campell, a junior at North Central College, will be part of a three-man play that comprises the 37 plays of William Shakespeare. The play, called The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, is an improvisational comedy that will be at North Central's Madden Theatre and premier Jan. 13.

Glen Ellyn Park District Commissioner Melissa Creech blogs that the Park District Board is holding a special meeting to discuss the executive director search at 7 p.m. tonight at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center. Most of the meeting will be in closed executive session.
The board is looking for a replacement for Cory Atwell, who announced his retirement in November and will step down Jan. 14.
