Flash Flood Warning Wednesday For Glen Ellyn, DuPage County

A flash flood warning is in effect until 4:30 p.m. June 26.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for areas including northeastern DuPage County, including Glen Ellyn. The warning is in effect until 4:30 p.m. June 26.

In addition, a flash flood watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The warning was issued specifically for urban areas and small streams in the area, according to the National Weather Service. 

The flash flood watch is in effect until 7 p.m. as storms continue around the area and more may develop later today, which could produce heavy rainfall, with downpour rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, according to the National Weather Service. The heavy rainfall coupled with the saturated ground from other recent storms may cause flash flooding.

A flash flood watch means conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding, which is a very dangerous, according to the National Weather Service.
