Farmers Market Welcomes New Vendors

The farmers market will add a family business offering natural cleaning products and another offering traceable food items.

Shoppers at the Glen Ellyn Farmers Market should have a few more vendors to buy from starting today.

The market, which is open every Friday through Oct. 25, features a variety of vendors from those selling jewelry to those offering locally grown produce.

New to the market are Blessed Roots Farm and Farm Fresh Foodstuffs, both are expected to be in attendance at Friday’s market, according to officials with the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce.

Blessed Roots Farm sells all natural, fragrance free household cleaning products, according to its website. The owners, Jason and Jenna Raymond, live in Woodstock and wanted to live healthier and create products that were safe to use in their home. Since not everyone has the time to do the work, they took on the job.

Farm Fresh Foodstuffs is based in Lombard. The owners, Steve Spoerl Jr. and wife Jennifer, are independent, State of Illinois licensed food brokers who say everything they sell can be traced back to the people or farms that made a product or grew it, according to the company’s website.  They sell a variety of items online from meats and cheeses to pasta and sauces.
