Coaches Analyze Football Season, Share Insights During Library Program

The coaches from Glenbard South and Glenbard West high schools will share details on the season, past seasons and personal football philosophies during an event Wednesday night.

Get the details on how the football season is shaping up from the coaches themselves. 

Glenbard South High School head football coach Jeremy Cordell and Glenbard West High School head football coach Chad Hetlet will analyze the current season, while sharing some of the greatest moments from past seasons during a program at the Glen Ellyn Public Library.

The coaches will be discussing football Wednesday night during the program, which will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the library.

During the program both coaches will offer analysis of the current season, reflections on past seasons and share highlights about each team’s players, according to a news release from the Glen Ellyn Public Library.

In addition, the coaches will share the path that led them to coaching, obstacles they have overcome to get where they are and their personal philosophies for the offensive and defensive systems, according the news release.

Hetlet has been the head football coach at Glenbard West since 2007. He has coached Glenbard West to three undefeated seasons in 2008, 2009, and 2011, according to the news release. In 2011 USA TODAY ranked Hetlet the 14th best coach in the nation. Cordell began his tenure as Glenbard South’s head coach in 2010. Last year he coached Glenbard South to an impressive 7-4 record, awarding them first place in the Metro-Suburban Conference.
