'Book of Mormon' Standby Star Hails from Glen Ellyn, Wheaton

Rob Colletti, a native of Wheaton and Glen Ellyn and St. Francis High School grad, is now part of the "Book of Mormon" cast at the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago, the Daily Herald reports.

A man who grew up in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn is now a standby star for the lead role of Elder Cunningham in the musical, The Book of Mormon at the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago, according to a recent feature in the Daily Herald.

For eight shows a week, Rob Colletti go goes to the theatre and sits in the dressing room, ready to fill in for Ben Platt in the case of an emergency, according to the Herald.

Since the show opened in December, Colletti played the part five times while Platt was out of town, the St. Francis High School alum told the Herald.

Colletti, a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago, played Roger in American Theater Company's 40th anniversary revival of The Original Grease, Barfee in The 25th Annual...Bee, Dr. Bradman in Blithe Spirit and in 100% Rocketships at Second City, according to his cast bio on the show's website.
