115 Glen Ellyn Residents Finish the Bank of America Chicago Marathon

About 150 Glen Ellyn residents signed up for the race and 115 made it to the finish. Glen Ellyn's top finisher was 186th overall.

The weather was perfect for runners as they attempted to make it 26.2 miles and finish at the end of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

The race, held Sunday, had roughly 45,000 runners competing for the coveted finishers medal. Glen Ellyn had 115 runners who made it through the entire race crossing the finish line.

Ethiopian Tsegaye Kebede had the top finish in the marathon at 2:04:38, breaking the course record set last year by Kenya's Moses Mosop, according to the Chicago Tribune

According to the Chicago Marathon, 150 Glen Ellyn residents were registered for the race, but 115 finished. The top finisher from Glen Ellyn was Brock Hunter. He placed 186th overall, finishing the race with a time of 2:41:47. The top female runner from Glen Ellyn was Tammy Lifka, who placed 1st in her age group, 20th in her gender group and 326 overall. Her time was 2:49:02.
