Rover Rescue Dog of the Week
Can you hear me RRROOOAAARRR?? Of course not, Silly! I am a dog, not a big striped cat! But my name is TIGER! My foster mom thinks that I could easily change my name to Tigger. You know, the tiger who is Winnie the Pooh’s friend that lives in the 100 Acre Wood . I have to admit, Tigger and I have a lot in common, including our zest for life and the motto to have fun, fun, fun! But let me tell you about me, TIGER! I am an adorable one and a half year old Spaniel Mix who weighs a healthy 40 pounds. I have a handsome red and white coat…sorry no stripes, but I do have some cute freckles! I am a really happy, loving, exuberant boy! I have a lot of energy and it sometimes gets me in trouble. But why be boring and walk when you can run and dash and bounce and flounce?? I would love to have a high energy buddy (human or canine) to accompany me on my adventures. I love kids, but would probably not do so well with the young ones. I would really hate to knock them down when I am being jumpy, bumpy and thumpy. A fenced-in yard is pretty much a requirement for me. I would make a great running partner, though I do need to work some more on my leash skills. We could master that together! I love dogs of all shapes and sizes so frequent trips to the local dog park would be awesome! I have never been introduced to cats so I don’t know how well I would do with them. They would have to be okay with an enthusiastic playmate like myself. I am told that I am a really good, charming boy. I am housebroken and crate trained. The only time I need to be in my crate is when I am left home alone. Otherwise, you never know what mischief I can get into trying to entertain myself! I love to ride in the car and am a good passenger. My foster mom frequently tells me how smart I am! I know how to sit, to give paw and I am learning to play fetch. I am looking for a family who will love me and spend time with me, as there is nothing better in the world! I am hoping to put my past behind me; being a stray in a high-kill shelter and being returned twice to Rover Rescue due to my elevated energy level. I know that there is someone out there that will appreciate me bringing color and energy to their world, is that you? I promise that if you are feeling down, that my cheerful, sweet personality will have you smiling in no time. If you think I am the one to bring excitement and fun into your life, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. Remember: the wonderful thing about TIGER is that TIGER is a wonderful thing. http://youtu.be/GHmGMGhWZzM
