Lombard's Trinity Lutheran School Accepting Registration for Fall Students, Last Weeks of Summer Camp

Families seeking an affordable alternative to the public school system are invited to consider Trinity Lutheran School in Lombard as the educational environment choice for their children. Registration is now open to children aged three through 8th grade for the 2014-2015 school year at the 154 year old Christian elementary and middle school. Traditional faith-based education is coupled with extracurricular opportunities and extended care options at the convenient Roosevelt and Meyers Roads location.

"One of Trinity's draws is the individual attention each student receives here," explained Kenn Krohse who has been principal since 1984, and served as a teacher at Trinity before that.

"There's a family feeling here," commented Sue Niehaus, who teaches 5th and 6th graders, "We all work together to ensure that each child feels appreciated and knows that he or she is a valued member of the Trinity community."

Extended care options help meet the needs of busy families and working parents.  Beth Kraegel, teacher's aide and extended care instructor, is often on duty at 7:30 a.m. when the before and after care center opens and at the 5:30 p.m. closing time. "I've seen the difference that our flexibility can make for a parent who is juggling a job, family commitments, and children of various ages," she shared.  "When a family is struggling with the logistics of life and its difficulties we can help provide a support system they can rely on."

"Trinity has something special," offered Lorry Davies, who runs the office, "And it's clear that the families think so. It's not unusual to see cousins, neighbors, even children and grandchildren of former students, come here because of their great experience here. Trinity is a school that people choose for their children. It's the best kept secret in Du Page County…and we want to share it with you."

"My daughter came to Trinity from a public school and has done better here. Her reading comprehension has improved with the one-on-one attention she has received," commented Ivy Belzey, a former special education teacher who taught an afterschool sign language class at Trinity. "People here work together," she added, "that's a good thing."

Registration for 2014-2015 will continue through August, but space is limited.

The 2014 Summer Camp weekly programs for children aged 3 to through those entering 5th grade continue through August 8.  Indoor and outdoor activities provide children with fun and educational opportunities to realize their own talents and appreciate God's creation. At the same time, hours and fees that mirror the school year extended care allow families to easily achieve consistency of schedule and budget year round. Children may still be enrolled for the remaining two weeks.

Tuition rates and other information are available online at www.trinitylombard.org or by calling Trinity's office at 630.627.5601.

Trinity Lutheran School has been providing quality Christian education in the Lutheran tradition since 1860 and does not discriminate students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin.
