Learning About Selecting Flowering Shrubs Puts Garden Club in the Mood for Spring

  Friday, February 28 between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm, the Lombard Garden Club members and guests gathered in the Lombard Commons and let the beautiful color slides that horticulturist Glenn Grosch projected on the screen take them into spring and summer. The wind was blowing and snow was about to fall outside, but inside the Garden Club audience was transported to  the land floral beauty.  Left to right are Ways and Means Chairman Rose Roth, the speaker for the day, Glenn Grosch, past president Cher Herlache, and club member, Pat Cekal.    Grosch is giving recommendations to the ladies about the best buys and most beautiful flowering shrubs for their gardens.
