Glen Crest Middle School Jazz Band,  under the direction of Lev Garbar, have two performances planned for the end of January.  The musicians will be performing at the Glenbard South Winter Jazz Concert on Wednesday, January 22  at 7:30 PM.  Glenbard South is located at 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn.  The three selections that the middle school jazz band is playing are "If I Only Had a Brain, "Ballad for a Blue Horn," and "The Blues at Frog Bottom."  On Saturday, January 25, the jazz band travels to Arlington Heights where they are participating in the 17th annual Jazz Jamboree.  They will play on stage at 3:00 PM and will receive a thirty minute clinic from a well-known educator from the Chicagoland area immediately following the performance.  The three musical selections they
played at the Glenbard South Jazz Concert will be repeated for the Jazz Jamboree.  For information about these performances call the Glen Crest office at 630-469-5220.
