Glen Crest Student Union Develops School Beautification Program

Tuesday, October 22 at 3:00 PM, Glen Crest Middle School  Student Union members met to begin step one of the middle school Fall Beautification Program.  The snow mixed with rain did not stop them! This is the first major project that the Student Union has developed for the school year.  In the spring of 2013, Principal Todd Schrage, Student Union Advisors Tara Tuttle and Rose D’Eccliss met with the new Student Union officers and the plan was formulated.  One hundred bulbs were purchased through Bulbs Direct from Amazon.com.  They are planted around the flag pole at the front door of Glen Crest and the two interior court yards located in the school building.  The goal of the project is to raise school spirit and instill a feeling of pride among the Glen Crest students. “Beautification of the school grounds is a great  project,”  said D’Eccliss and Tuttle.  “Rain did not stop our progress today!”
