Glen Crest Men Faculty Win Bragging Rights in Game with 8th Grade Spartan Boys

Posting a score of 63-to 45, the Glen Crest Middle School men faculty were victorious over the 2014 DuPage Metro Valley Conference Champs, the Glen Crest 8th grade boys basketball team.  It was a high scoring game and the 8th grade team got to play against their own coach, Dan Sheridan.  He brought a young age and talent to the men’s team.  Several of the men have played many years on the middle school team for faculty night.  Sheridan gave them the winning boost needed for secure the game.
The women faculty were challenged by the 8th grade girls basketball team who began their season in January.  The teams went  back and forth with many tie scores, until the 8th grade girls won in the last seconds of the game, 29-27.
The Glen Crest  stands were packed and all got to see the half-time show performed by the Glen Crest cheerleaders who traveled on Saturday, Feb. 2 to a competition at Jackson Middle School for the JMS Cheer Competition.  The Glen Crest Pep Band kept the crowd singing and yelling as they played well-known sports music selections that everyone knew.  The Glen Crest chorus was represented by an ensemble that led the crowd in the National Anthem and God Bless America.  All who attended were glad the snow held off until this
exciting 2014 Faculty Basketball Night concluded.
