B.R. Ryall YMCA Swim Team Wins Meet

On Sunday, March 2, 2014 the B.R. Ryall YMCA Swim Team won the YMCA Town & County District meet. The swimmers, ranging in age from 6-18, worked hard, swam fast and had some fun along the way.

This is the teams first time winning the meet since 2010, and the first time since 2009 that they swept the meet and won all three divisions: Girl’s, Boy’s and Combined. The team broke at least eight district records including: Boy’s Open 200 Medley Relay, Girl’s Open 200 Medley Relay, Girl’s Open 200 Free Relay, Girl’s 13-14 200 Medley Relay, Girl’s 9-10 200 Free Relay, Girl’s 9-10 200 Medley Relay, Girl’s 9-10 50 Free and Girl’s 9-10 100 Free.

In addition to breaking all those district records, the B.R. Ryall YMCA Swim Team also made four YMCA National Cuts in relays and Kate Morris broke the Illinois Swimming State Record in the Girl’s 10 and under 50 Freestyle.
