Andrea Lynn Cancer Fund Hosting Be The Match Marrow Drive August 4
ROSELLE, IL – Local charity Andrea Lynn Cancer Fund is hosting a marrow registry drive on
Sunday, August 4 during the Taste of Roselle. The drive will be held from 12:00 t...o 7:00 p.m. near
the corner of Prospect and Main Streets in Roselle, IL.
Surprisingly, the initial steps to joining the registry is easy: just a form and a cheek swab with a Qtip.
Representatives from Be The Match will be at the Andrea Lynn Cancer Fund booth at the Taste
of Roselle to answer questions as potential donors self-administer the cheek swab test. If you are
healthy, between the ages of 18-44, and committed to helping patients find a cure, spend a few
minutes at our booth and learn more or go to www.BeTheMatch.org

. Diversity in heritage is
urgently needed.
Thousands of patients with blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell and other lifethreatening
diseases depend on the Be The Match Marrow Registry to find a match to save their life.
Patients need donors who are a genetic match. The Andrea Lynn Cancer Fund is holding a bone
marrow match drive to increase the numbers and diversity of the registry to increase the chance that
a cancer patient finds a life-saving match.
The Andrea Lynn Cancer Fund was established in 2006 in the memory of Andrea Lynn Beckwith,
who lost her battle with colon cancer in 1993. Her children, Brent and Shane Beckwith and Karie
Nash, along with a close-knit group of family, friends and supporters, head up the board of directors
for the charity. For more information about the organization, please visit the Andrea Lynn Cancer
Fund website at www.andrealynn.org
