A Gem of a Holiday is Theme of Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates Holiday Luncheon

 Wednesday, December 4, at the Carlisle,  located at 435 East Butterfield Road in Lombard, the many members of the Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago gather for their holiday lunch and spectacular program presented by
a jewelry and metals expert.  Kathleen Kamal is an artist and teacher as well as the head of the metal and jewelry program at College of DuPage.  She is presenting a program that features two gemstones, rubies and emeralds.  Hear how they have been used in art, adorned royalty as well as mistresses, and lined the pockets of thieves.  Enjoy an hour immersed in the history of these fabulous gems.  Tickets for the luncheon are $38 for members and $43 for non-members.  Guests are welcome.  The reservation period concludes by Tuesday, November 26.  Call the following numbers to make a reservation,
