50th Anniversary of Glen Ellyn Wheaton Community Associates was Solid Gold

     Wednesday, May 14, at 11:00 AM, over 320 members and guests gathered at the Carlisle Banquets in Lombard to celebrate fifty years of honoring a commitment to strengthen the Art Institutes reputation as a world-class museum, to take advantage of adult art education events and lectures, enjoy opportunities to explore major cities in the United States, and share the opportunities offered with at least thirty different cities and  towns in DuPage County.  The past chairmen and present chairmen were at the  50th anniversary luncheon, representatives from the Art Institute of Chicago were present to celebrate this milestone as well.  The featured speaker was Geoffrey Baer, Emmy award winning writer, producer and program host seen on WTTW CHICAGO.  His program for the afternoon featured facts about the cities and towns that make up the Community Associates Organization.  For information about the Community Associates go to the website, www.artic.edu/learn/adults/community-associates.
