Picnic in the Park while you witness the
summertime spectacle of the Glen Ellyn Cardboard Regatta, as hundreds set sail
in full regalia. Enjoy great food - burgers, brats, hot dogs, and corn. The
Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Department will be the chefs of the event. All
proceeds go to the 4th of July committee, an all volunteer organization, to fund

More About Lake Ellyn Park
The beautiful ten-acre Lake Ellyn sits in the middle of a 25-acre park in northeast Glen Ellyn. Lake Ellyn park is a large, shady park with plenty of features and attractions. The park boasts a fishing deck, large open play area, drinking fountains, wooded picnic area with grills, walking paths, and a playground. There are also two clay tennis courts. Membership is required. The Lake Ellyn Boathouse is an all-purpose building for rental. The park also features a lakeside Veterans' memorial.
