The Glen Ellyn Historical Society Bake Sale at Glen Ellyn Farmers Market is scheduled for Friday, August 3 beginning at 7:30 A.M. The Farmers Market is located at the Main Street Parking Lot between Duane and Hillside in downtown Glen Ellyn. The Historical Society bakers are famous for their pies, fruit breads, historic cookie recipes, coffee cakes and cakes. Many of the bakers have been featured in local newspapers sharing their recipes with the general public. Buy early because the Bake Sale Booth is sold out by 11:30 A.M.
For over eighteen years the Glen Ellyn Historical Society Bakers have supplied the Glen Ellyn Farmers Market’s Bake Sale with pies, cakes, fruit breads, and cookies that have become legendary. Each summer all the scheduled bake sales sell out of bakery goods by noon and the crowds yell for more! The next bake sale after August 3 will be Friday, August 17. Call 630-469-1867 for information.
