Glen Crest Middle School Jazz Band Director, Katrina Berry, announced that the middle school jazz band is performing in the 16th annual Jazz Jamboree at Thomas Middle School in Arlington Heights on Saturday, February 2. There are thirteen middle school jazz ensembles performing at the festival which begins at 8:30 A.M. The clinicians for the 2013 festival are Brian Jacobi, Chris Madsen from Northwestern University, and Dr. Bob Lark from DePaul University. This year’s featured guest artist is the Tom Matta Big Band. The Glen Crest Jazz Band takes the stage for a performance at 3:00 P.M. For information about the Jazz Jamboree call Glen Crest’s main office at 630-469-5220.

Glen Crest Middle School, opened in 1962, is District 89's only middle school. With active and involved students and parents, Glen Crest prepares its graduates for life in high school and beyond. With numerous student clubs and sports programs, students have an array of activities to choose from.
